Germany: Local and regional productions of Jekyll & Hyde are taking place throughout Germany. The show is currently playing a second season at Staatsoperette Dresden (Dresden State Opera) in Dresden, 18 September 2008 - 13 May 2009; Stadttheater Bremerhaven in Bremerhaven, 8 November 2008 - 5 March 2009; and Theater Lüneburg in Lüneburg, 22 November 2008 - 17 June 2009. Chorzów, Poland: The Polish premiere production of Jekyll has returned for a second season at Teatr Rozrywki in Chorzów, Silesia, Poland, beginning 25 September 2008. Performances have been announced into December, and further dates are possible. The first season ran from 1 December 2007 through 20 June 2008. The cast is led by Janusz Krucinski, Marcin Rychcik and Pawel Tucholski as Jekyll/Hyde, Wioletta Bialk and Marta Florek as Lucy and Alona Szostak and Ewa Grysko as Emma. For more information see the

South Korea Logo Seoul, South Korea: OD Musical Company is presenting a fifth season of performances of Jekyll in Seoul, South Korea. Performances take place at the LG Arts Center, beginning 11 November and officially opening 14 November 2008, with plans to run through 22 February 2009. The first season of performances ran from 24 July through 21 August 2004 and the second ran from 24 December 2004 through 14 February 2005, both taking place at the COEX Auditorium. The third season was presented from 21 January through 5 February 2006 at the Opera Theatre at the Seoul Arts Center. The fourth season ran from 24 June through 2 July and then 7 July through 15 August 2006 at the National Theater of Korea. For more information visit the

Italian Tour: Teatro Stabile d'Abruzzo, in association with the Associazione Culturale Mamo, is presenting an Italian Tour of Jekyll. There were pre-tour performances in Pescara and L'Aquila, Italy in November 2006, and tour dates have taken place from November 2007 through March 2008. Further performances are expected, though no details have been set at this time. The cast for this production is led by Giò Di Tonno as Jekyll/Hyde, Simona Molinari as Lucy and Ilaria de Angelis as Emma. For more information, see the details on the

Jekyll & Hyde is headed for the big screen! The entertainment production and marketing firm The Hatchery is developing a feature film version of Jekyll & Hyde in partnership with Grand Illusions Media Partners. In an October 2007 interview, Frank said that "No, there isn't a [production] timeline and I'd say that it's a few years away. What I can say for sure though is that there are people actively working on it every day, as part of their jobs...so progress is being made!" For more information, see the

What has been done in the past?

Original Logo Houston, Texas: Jekyll had its world premiere at the Alley Theatre in 1990. Starring were Chuck Wagner as Jekyll and Hyde, Linda Eder as Lucy, and Rebecca Spencer as Lisa. Jekyll was the Alley's first fully-produced new musical, and it broke box office records, played to sold-out houses, and won acclaim from audiences and critics alike.

First U.S. Tour: The first national tour of Jekyll started in 1995 and travelled to twenty-nine cities. Leading the cast were Robert Cuccioli as Jekyll and Hyde, Linda Eder as Lucy and Christiane Noll as Lisa. More information on this tour can be found on the Jekyll Website.

Broadway Artwork, Second Year Plymouth Theater, New York: Jekyll opened on Broadway on 28 April 1997, with previews starting on 21 March, and ran through 7 January 2001. It played for a total of 1543 performances and 44 previews, becoming the longest-running show in the history of the Plymouth Theater. The original cast was led by Robert Cuccioli, Linda Eder and Christiane Noll. Other featured performers during Jekyll's years on the boards include leading men Rob Evan, Jack Wagner, Sebastian Bach and David Hasselhoff, joined by Luba Mason and Coleen Sexton as Lucy, with Anastasia Barzee and Andrea Rivette as Emma. The show was taped in its final weeks in New York, and was aired throughout North and South America on pay-per-view and then released to
Video and DVD.

Dutch/Belgian Tour Logo Dutch/Belgian Tour: Koninklijk Ballet van Vlaanderen presented a tour of Jekyll in The Netherlands and Belgium, starting 26 September 1997 in Antwerp, and ending 10 January 1998 in Beersel. This was the European premiere of the show. Hans Peter Janssens played Jekyll and Hyde, Hilde Norga portrayed Lucy, and An Lauwereins played Emma. The Dutch translation was done by Seth Gaaikema
.

Bremen Logo Bremen, Germany: Jekyll had a highly acclaimed run in Bremen, Germany at Musical Theater Bremen. It opened on 19 February 1999 and closed 30 June 2001 after 952 performances. The production had a "bombastic stage set," many special effects (especially lasers), and "incredible voices." Leading cast members included Ethan Freeman and Darius Merstein-MacLeod as Jekyll and Hyde, Lyn Liechty, Eva Maria Marold and Maricel as Lucy, and Susanne Dengler, Carina Sandhaus, Leah Delos Santos and Michaela Kovarikova as Lisa. Second U.S. Tour: The second national tour of Jekyll ran from 13 April 1999 to 30 April 2000. This tour featured Chuck Wagner in the title roles, Sharon Brown and then Becca Ayers as Lucy, and Andrea Rivette and then Kelli O'Hara as Emma. More information on this tour can be found on the

Sweden Logo Norrköping and Linköping, Sweden:
Östgöta Teatern presented Jekyll in Sweden. It played in Norrköping, 17 September through 13 November 1999, and in Linköping, 17 December 1999 through 26 February 2000. Anders Ekborg and then Olle Persson played the lead roles, Sharon Dyall was Lucy and Anna Maria Hallgarn was Emma. The Swedish translation was done by Sven-Hugo Persson.

Third U.S. Tour: The third, and non-equity, national tour of Jekyll ran from 19 September 2000 through 20 May 2001. It starred Guy LeMonnier as Jekyll and Hyde, Annie Berthiaume as Lucy and Shani Lynn Nielsen as Emma
.

Original Madrid Cast Recording Madrid, Spain: Jekyll opened at the New Apollo Theater in Madrid on 28 September 2000, with previews starting 6 September, and ran through 27 May 2001. Singing sensation Raphael starred, and was the first Jekyll anywhere to carry all regular performances of the show without an alternate. He was joined by Marta Ribera as Lucy and Margarita Marban as Emma. The Spanish translation was provided by Nacho Artime. Calendar Listings:

Hungary Logo Budapest, Hungary: The Hungarian premiere of Jekyll took place in Békéscsaba, running 16 February - 10 March 2001. The show played two seasons at Thália Színház, and a third season at the Stefánián, in Budapest. Performances have also taken place at Szegedi Nemzeti Színház (The National Theater of Szeged), and other venues around Hungary. Lászlsó Molnár directed and starred, and has been joined by Kata Janza, Erika Borbás and Szilvia Molnár as Lucy, and Bernadett Tunyogi and Nikolett Füredi as Emma. The Hungarian translation was provided by Attila Valla (lyrics) and Sándor Venyige (book). For more information go to

Vienna Poster Vienna, Austria: Jekyll premiered in Vienna on 29 September 2001, in this production based on the one done in
Bremen, Germany. The show played through 1 May 2002, then reopoend on 7 September 2002 for a second season, playing through 26 April 2003. The cast was led by Thomas Borchert as Jekyll and Hyde, Eva Maria Marold as Lucy, and Maya Hakvoort (first season) and Lilian Marti (second season) as Lisa. Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia: Jekyll was presented in concert by the Canberra Philharmonic Society ("
Philo"), a leading Australian semi-professional musical theater company. Performances were at the Canberra Theatre, 18 - 20 October 2001. Donald Cant led the cast as Jekyll and Hyde, with Leisa Keen as Lucy and Bronwyn Sullivan as Emma. Calendar Listings: Past, Australia.

Tokyo Logo Tokyo, Japan: The Japanese production of Jekyll first premiered at the
Nissay Theater, 5-30 November 2001. It also played at the Chunichi Theater in Nagoya, 13-18 December and then at Theater DramaCity in Osaka, 5-17 January 2002. The show has played three more seasons at the Nissay Theater in Tokyo, 5-31 January 2003, 4-28 December 2005, and 5-29 April 2007. The production also returned to Osaka, 11-13 May 2007 and Nagoya, 18-27 May 2007. The cast for this production was led by Takeshi Kaga as Jekyll and Hyde, and has included Marsia and Tatsuki Kohju as Lucy and Ayumi Shigemori, Rina Chinen and Ranran Suzuki as Emma. Barcelona Artwork Spanish Touring Production: The Spanish production of Jekyll, first seen in
Madrid, went on to play in several locations in Spain and the Canary Islands. These touring dates included Bilbao, Spain, 20-23 December 2001; Alicante, Spain, 2-4 January 2002; Las Palmas, Canary Islands in February 2002; and Tenerife, Canary Islands, 3-9 June 2002. For these performances, Luis Amando was Jekyll/Hyde, Marta Ribera was Lucy and Margarita Marban was Emma. The show then played in Barcelona, Spain, 4 September - 20 October; and Valencia, Spain, 30 October - 24 November, 2002. For these performances, Raphael returned to the title roles, with Marta Ribera as Lucy and Maria Jose Oquendo as Emma. Finally, the production played in Fuengirola, Spain, 23-27 July 2003 with Paco Arrojo playing Jekyll/Hyde, Lorena Calero as Lucy and Maria Jose Oquendo as Emma. Netherlands Logo The Netherlands: The Nederlands Musical Ensemble presented the second tour of Jekyll in The Netherlands. The production had its premiere in Valkenburg, 10-25 August 2002, and then played in Zoetermeer, 19-20 October 2002. At those venues, Peter Rijnbeek starred as Jekyll/Hyde, with Gerlinde Vliegenthart as Lucy and Marije Nieuwenhuis as Emma. The show played in several more towns between 9 October 2003 and 21 February 2004. For these performances, Diederik Rep led the cast as Jekyll/Hyde, with Marloes van Reijzen as Lucy and Marije Nieuwenhuis as Emma. The Dutch translation was provided by Rutger Bulsing. Athens, Greece: Jekyll played in Athens at the Vembo Theater. Performances began on 13 December 2002 and ran through 7 March 2003. The show was presented by
Livadas Productions (site in Greek), with George Kimoulis serving as director, translator and leading the cast as Jekyll and Hyde. He was joined on stage by Maria Sekianaki as Lucy and Georgia Georgoni as Lisa. Calendar Listings: Past, Greece.

Cologne Artwork Cologne, Germany: Jekyll opened at the Musical Dome in Cologne, Germany on 16 March 2003, with previews beginning 12 March, and ran through 25 April 2004. The leading performers have included Yngve Gasoy-Romdal and Drew Sarich as Jekyll/Hyde, Anna Montanaro, Michaela Kovarikova and Lucy Diakovska as Lucy, and Nicole Seeger as Lisa. Denmark Logo Herning, Denmark: The
Herning Kongrescenter presented Jekyll from 10 April through 11 May 2003. Jesper Lundgaard performed the lead roles, with Karina Nus as Lucy and Stine Bugge-Stenkjær as Emma. Doetinchem, The Netherlands: Musical Productions Gaanderen presented Jekyll at the Schouwburg Amphion in Doetinchem, Gelderland, The Netherlands, 1-4 April 2004. Jurgen Kamphorst and Barry Römer alternate in the roles of Jekyll and Hyde, Sanna Rijpma played Lisa (the Lucy role, renamed), and Marieke v/d Burg was Emma. Concert Tour Logo The Concert Tour: The smash-hit Broadway musical has been transformed into the concert event of the year! Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse have adapted Jekyll into a concert where the powerful and romantic pop score is brought to life by the talents of three of the stages brightest stars and a pulse pounding orchestra and six piece rhythm section. The concert had two tryout stagings, at the Lenape Regional Performing Arts Center in Malrton, New Jersey, 25-27 June 2004 and at the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, 8-12 September 2004. It then toured the US from September 2005 through February 2006, with Rob Evan as Jekyll/Hyde, Kate Shindle as Lucy and Brandi Burkhardt as Emma. This tour was directed by Gregory Boyd, with music direction by Jason Howland. The tour then played in eight cities in South Korea. For this leg of the tour, Rob Evan continued to play Jekyll/Hyde and was joined by Mandy Gonzalez as Lucy and Julie Reiber as Emma. This tour was directed by Vincent Marini, with music direction by Alexander Frey. Photos have been posted in the
Project Photo Gallery. The concert has also played at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia, 30 November 2006 and returned to the Olympic Hall in Seoul, South Korea on 5 and 6 May 2007. UK Tour Logo UK Tour: Jekyll had a long-awaited production in the UK, in the form of a 26 city tour. The show opened on 24 August 2004 in Eastbourne, and played its final performance in Sunderland on 21 May 2005. Miranda Musical Society Logo, Sutherland, Australia Australia: The first fully-staged production of Jekyll in Australia was presented by The Rockdale Musical Society in Rockdale (Sydney area), New South Wales, Australia, 10-19 September 2004. Since then there have been several productions of the show in Australia. The Queensland premiere was presented by the Gold Coast Arts Centre in Surfer's Paradise, 17-25 September 2004. The Victorian premiere was presented by NOVA Music Theatre in Nunawading (Melbourne area), 15-30 October 2004. The South Australian premiere was presented by The Hills Musical Company in Stirling, 15-30 April 2005. Prague, Czech Republic: Hudební divadlo v Karlín presented Jekyll at the Karlín Musical Theater in Prague, Czech Republic. The first season of performances began 4 March 2005, with an official opening on 11 March, and ran through 4 June 2005. The second season ran from 7 October 2005 through 27 May 2006, the third season ran from 9 November 2006 through 23 June 2007 and the fourth season ran from 6 October through 1 December 2007. The staging was produced by Adam Novák and Egon Kulhanek. Adam Novák also provided the Czech translation. Alexander Frey was musical director, Rino Brezina directed and Helena Brousková choreographed. MTC Productions Logo, Stoke-on-Trent, England The United Kingdom: The amateur premiere of Jekyll in the UK was presented by Llanishen High School as part of the Cardiff International Festival of Musical Theatre, at the Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd, Mid Glamorgan, Wales, 12-16 April 2005. The amateur premiere in England was presented by the Stock Exchange Drama and Operatic Society in Whitechapel, London, 26 October - 5 November 2005.
