Here are the answers to some frequently asked questions about Frank's past projects: Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel, The Civil War and Victor/Victoria. For information on projects still in development, check the Future Show Questions Page.

When will one of Frank's shows be playing in my area?

People often want to locate productions of shows like Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel or The Civil War near them. We post listings for any productions that are known to us in the Calendar section of the website. These are typically standalone productions that are presented by local or regional performing groups. Any stagings that are part of a tour will be clearly marked as such on this site. You can also use the Show Finder to check for performances in your area. Keep an eye on this site and your local theater listings for updates.

If you don't see a production listed for your area, it either means that none is taking place or that it is not known to us. The best way to try and get a production to happen near you is to contact your local theater groups and express your interest in the show(s) you would like to see. Many groups take surveys (online or at performances), of what shows their audience may want to see in an upcoming season. If you know of a production that isn't listed, please let us know so that we can add it to the site.

When and where will one of Frank's shows play on tour?

Tours of different shows are organized from time to time, in a specific country or countries. When this happens, the details are posted to this site and the production is clearly marked as a tour. If no tours are listed, then none are taking place, or they are not known to us.

If a tour is playing in your country, the best way to suggest that it come to your area is to contact your local theaters and express your interest in the show. This website is not connected with the booking process for any tour.

Will Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel or The Civil War return to Broadway?

At this time there are no plans to launch a Broadway revival of Jekyll & Hyde, The Scarlet Pimpernel or The Civil War. Revivals typically happen many years after the initial production of a show. If any Broadway or other major stagings of one of these shows is planned, they will be announced on this website.

How can I audition for one of Frank's shows?

This website does not post audition news, and is not connected to the audition process for any show.

To audition for a local or regional production of a show, you should make direct contact with the group that is presenting the show. You can use the Calendar section and Updates pages on this site, and the websites for each show, to find productions that you might be interested in. Check the website of the group in question, or any audition announcements that come out, for contact and other information.

For details on auditioning for major productions of Frank's upcoming projects, check the Upcoming Show Questions Page.

How do I get in touch with performers from Frank's shows?

To reach a theater performer, first check for a website dedicated to that person. Some official (and even unofficial) sites have a direct contact e-mail address you can use, or a guestbook or message board where you can leave them a note.

To send "snail mail" to a performer, the most accepted and effective practice is to send your letter in care of a show in which they are appearing. It is best to find a current or upcoming show and send your letter so it will arrive while they are there, and will be for several more weeks (to allow for delivery time). Mail can be addressed in this manner:

Performer's Name
c/o Show Name
Theater Name
Theater Mailing Address
City, State Zip

Will the past stars from Frank's shows perform in the same roles again?

Many audience members become fans of not only a musical, but the talented performers that they saw on stage or heard on a recording. It is natural to want to see past stars (especially from the Broadway cast) performing in these roles again. However, this happens rarely, and is an exception rather than a rule. Usually, a performer will appear in one production of a show and then move on to other projects. When "alumni" do work on new productions of the same shows, it is usually mentioned prominently in the show announcements (including in the Calendar section of this site, when we know about it). Also keep an eye on theater news sources and performers' websites for updates of this kind.
